Last night, HubbZ and I went into the city to celebrate the one and only
and her upcoming birthday (ahem, Thursday - mark it in your calendars). We had a blast with my friends and industry colleagues at the most awesome venue, Madam Mikette’s. They have an upstairs area that’s quite large and the drinks + food were really tasty! Join me in wishing Aly a very, very happy and healthy upcoming year ahead! Happy birthday, dear friend! Love u!

While I do spend the end of the year reorganizing myself and setting up new goals for the new year, I’m also still very much doing client work. What about you guys? I can’t exactly “check out” for the holidays because I really want each of my brands to start off the new year strong, and that takes some time, setup and organization.

Netflix is offering three themed yule logs, inspired by its series. A fireplace for “Bridgerton” is set in the Bridgerton living room, with music from the series; the setting for the “Squid Game” log is the Front Man’s office; and the “Spellbound” fireplace takes the form of a campfire in the fantasy kingdom of Lumbria.
Well that didn’t take long…Anonymous Content and Jigsaw Productions are developing a documentary project focused on the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, which found much of the public apathetic toward the victim and supportive of his alleged killer, Luigi Mangione. The show will investigate what the murder says about society.
YouTube TV is raising the monthly price of the live TV platform to $82.99 from $72.99 beginning January 13 for existing members. The new price point was effective for new subscribers on December 12. The company attributed the price increase to “the rising cost of content.”
“Hollywood Squares” hosted by Nate Burleson premieres Thursday, January 9 at 8pm on CBS. Celebrity guests Tyra Banks, Julie Bowen, Whitney Cummings, Tiffany Haddish, Thomas Lennon, Ms. Pat, Jeff Ross and Triumph the Insult Comic Dog will join Center Square Drew Barrymore, followed by Tichina Arnold, Nicole Byer, Drew Carey, Pete Holmes, Debi Mazar, Bobby Moynihan and Chelsea Peretti at 8:30pm.
“Kobe: The Making of a Legend,” which traces the story of the late NBA superstar Kobe Bryant, will premiere on CNN Saturday, January 25 at 9pm.
The 97th Academy Awards ceremony will stream live on Hulu, in addition to its ABC broadcast, starting Sunday, March 2 at 7pm. Nominations will be announced January 17.
Peacock is celebrating the 50th season of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” with docuseries “SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night.” The four-parter, which pulls back the curtain on everything from the writers’ room to the audition process, kicks off Thursday, January 16.
Season three of HBO’s “The White Lotus” premieres Sunday, February 1 at 9pm. This time around, the social satire will be set at an exclusive Thai resort, with a cast that includes Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Sarah Catherine Hook, Jason Isaacs, Lalisa Manobal, Michelle Monaghan, Sam Nivola, Lek Patravadi, Parker Posey, Natasha Rothwell, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Tayme Thapthimthong, and Aimee Lou Wood.
“We have to straighten out our press. Our press is very corrupt, almost as corrupt as our elections,” said president-elect Trump during a press conference on Monday. The pronouncement came days after ABC News settled a defamation lawsuit filed by Trump, agreeing to contribute $15 million Trump’s future presidential library and foundation. Trump said he plans to sue the Des Moines Register for releasing a poll that incorrectly predicted a Kamala Harris lead in the election, along with CBS for the editing of its “60 Minutes” interview with Kamala Harris. “You need a fair press,” said Trump. “I’m doing this not because I want to. I’m doing this because I feel I have an obligation to.”
Josh Radnor (“How I Met Your Mother”) will host “The People of the Book,” a new television series and podcast produced by The Jewish Life Foundation for broadcast on Jewish Life Television (JLTV). Radnor will interview authors about their books, exploring themes of Jewish identity, spirituality, history, food, literature, memoir, and pop culture. The series is scheduled to premiere in late 2025.
