HelloZ
Time is just zoooooming by and it’s hard to believe we’re halfway done with February already! No, really thought. How?
Jumping right into it because deadlines, work, and life - amiright?
Call for Pitches
I’m going to need these ASAP (don’t you love it when we say that?) so PLEASE send me me what you got. These are both for Clean Plates. Thank you in advance!
Please send pitches to zlatapitches@gmail.com with the appropriate subject line.
Headaches: In a month like March, where the weather changes a lot, the change in barometric pressure can trigger migraines. Looking to offer readers some help with this. Are there everyday habits they can incorporate to ease the pain or even possibly prevent the headaches? No shame for people who take meds, but are there other things that can also help? Ideally, I’m looking to hear from a doctor with expertise in headaches, but someone who recognizes the importance of lifestyle factors. Just send me their opinions, credentials and where to link back.
Low FODMAP: If you know me, you’ll know I wrote the first article on Low FODMAP for the US media 10 (!) years ago when very little was known about it. Since then, the Low FODMAP diet continues to be life-changing for the many, many people struggling with IBS and other gut health issues. I’m working on a story about How to Flavor Recipes on a Low FODMAP Diet. Please send me any product recommendations and also any RD/expert opinions, credentials, and where to link back.
NewZ and ShowZ
“Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version),” makes its streaming debut on Friday, March 15 , exclusively on Disney+. The concert film grossed more than $260 million worldwide at the global box office, making it the top selling concert film of all time.
Bravo doc “Erika Jayne: Bet It All on Blonde” premieres Wednesday, March 6 at 9p. The two-hour special chronicles the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star’s journey to the opening night of her Las Vegas residency.
Meta’s Instagram and Threads will no longer recommend political content from accounts users don’t already follow. How about they stop recommending political content from accounts we DO follow, amiright?!
“The Emmy Awards” return to ABC on Sunday, September 15 at 8pm, live from LA’s Peacock Theater. For the past two years, on Fox and NBC, the show aired on Mondays. Either day is a school night, so I’m not sure this is really a ‘win’ for anyone, really.
Everything Gold is new again: On the heels of the success of “The Golden Bachelor” – 43.4 million total viewers after 35 days of viewing, and the number one new unscripted series among adults 18-49 – ABC has ordered “The Golden Bachelorette,” slated to debut in the fall. I’m praying the Golden Lady is still somewhat au naturale.
“Pathological: The Lies of Joran Van Der Sloot” premieres February 27 on Peacock. The documentary delves into Joran van der Sloot’s lifelong pattern of violence and pathological lying through interviews and new insights, years after he brutally murdered American Natalee Holloway and Peruvian Stephany Flores.
