Hard to be a news week like last week where we had special guest appearances from aliens and spaced-out politicians, but we spun around the sun a few more times, and wouldn’t you know it, the newZ came with us into August right on cue.

This week’s AZA was a smashing success! Thank you all for the insightful Qs — you bring your best every time and I’m grateful for it! We’ll be hosting more, so if you happen to miss this go-round, stay tuned for another one soon.

RIP Actor Paul Reubens, aka Pee-Wee Herman, who passed away this week. He had been battling cancer for the last 6 years, but chose to keep his illness private. He was 70.
The 75th Emmy Awards are officially postponed due to the strike. EW reports it’s the first time the ceremony has been delayed since 2001, which was because of 9/11. Kind of an odd comparison to draw, but facts is facts I guess.
Meanwhile, things are getting steamy and not in a sexy way over on Days of Our Lives, which is suspending production for a week. No official reason was given for the break but it may have something to do with alleged misconduct by co-executive producer/director Albert Alarr.
Bethenny Frankel is going to see how much ~~money~~ noise she can make with her latest idea to unionize reality stars who, she maintains, are being exploited. She’s hired high-profile attorneys Bryan Freedman and Mark Geragos to spearhead the initiative … and stay in the headlines, natch.
In what some are calling the most important lawsuit of our time, a class-action suit has been filed against Taco Bell, alleging the fast food titan has been skimping on the beef, specifically in its Crunchwraps.
Switching sides. Alex Rodriguez, known for dating Cameron Diaz and JLo and before that also for playing some baseball, is reportedly in talks for a multi-year contract with Fox Sports, where he would work exclusively for the network, ending his current post as an MLB broadcaster for ESPN.
