Vol. 46, but Leonardo DiCaprio just turned 48

The (long) weekend comes and goes like a short nap: It’s necessary, way too fast, and leaves me grumpy when it’s over. But Monday is gonna Monday whether I bitch about it or not, so might as well make it productive, right?!

We had a FAB time in DC and I plan on listing out my itinerary along with recommendations in an upcoming post. I also have some new FAVE ProductZ to share, which also seems to be a hit. Stay tuned!

This week I am working on a ton of writing assignments, pitching my clients to media and running a few affiliate setups. Thanksgiving is right around the corner and the pressure of the holidays is really starting to set in. Comment with a dish you’re preparing and join the app chat. Bonus points for links. • In news absolutely no one could have possibly predicted, the $8/mo Twitter subscription has been a bonafide disaster. After a surge of impersonation issues (including one that sent stocks tumbling at Eli Lilly LOL), Twitter has suspended the plan for the time being. 

• It’s not all fairytales over at the Happiest Place on Earth these days. Disney CEO Bob Chapek announced in a memo that the company will “have to make tough and uncomfortable decisions,” alluding to layoffs and spending cuts. There is some joke beneath the surface about politics, but I can’t land it and honestly maybe I’m just hoping this might bring ticket prices down a smidge.

• Sad news, Comedian Gallagher passed away on November 11. He was famous for smashing watermelons, which turned out to be way less benign than I think he probably thought when he chose that bit.

• Leo DiCaprio turned 48 this past week. I know it should not be shocking that time passes and people age, and yet, here I am, shookethed once again.

  

• Pete Davidson has moved on from Kim K (and Ariana Grande and Kate Beckinsale and Cindy Crawford’s daughter…) and is reportedly dating model and actress Emily Ratajkowski. You see what good jokes can do???? DO YOU SEE!?

• Morgan Freeman narrates Our Universe, a six-part series that explores the connections that drive our natural world. Okay that’s fine but who TF else would they cast? Debuting Tuesday, November 22 on Netflix. 

• NCIS, NCIS: Hawai’i, and NCIS: Los Angeles will have a three-hour crossover event on Monday, January 2 on CBS. Make sure you tell your parents. 

• For those of you as demented as I am who choose to fuel your anxiety with true crime horror stories, Vanished Into Thin Air premiers tonight at 10p on ID.

• Also on ID, Murder Under the Friday Night Lights kicks off season two on Wednesday at 10p. Why watch a show about football when you can watch a show about murder? #America

• Keke Palmer (“Nope”) will host Saturday Night Live on December 3. Do I know what Nope is? Nope. Do I know who Keke is? Also Nope. But now we don’t know together. 🫶
