First and foremost: THANK YOU for all of the continued support on this Substack. I am grateful for the all of the subscribers (free and paid!), and appreciate every single share that you give.

Zlata Thoughts BFCM Sale
What kind of marketer would I be if I didn’t offer a Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale on my own Substack though?
Starting now through December 3, subscribe to Zlata Thoughts for 50% off!
You can also gift me to someone! (That’s what she said?)
Bonus: I didn’t do a big roundup this year of BFCM deals (I will for holiday!), but I absolutely LOVE this one running on HULU. It’s either $0.99/mo for HULU or $2.99/mo for HULU and Disney+ for a whole year!
NewZ and ShowZ
Game show host Chuck Woolerly died November 23. He was 83. Woolery was best known as the original host of “Wheel of Fortune” and “Love Connection.”
Prime Video handed a series order to drama series “Silent River.” John Krasinski and Matthew Rhys are attached to star and executive produce this thought-provoking, psychological thriller.
After a contentious season 11, Bravo ordered season 12 of “Vanderpump Rules” – but with a new group of servers, hosts and bartenders overseen by Lisa Vanderpump. The show is set to begin production in 2025. At least one original cast member is just fine with having a new crew take over. “I’m feeling at peace with closing this chapter, and I’m excited for everything that is to come,” posted Ariana Madix on social media. “I don’t know that these were the best days of our lives, but they were definitely something special.” Peeps on social media are devastated over this news and of course, after 11 years of the same people it’s understandable to miss their storyline drama. BUT, given how everything’s played out, it’s pretty clear they need to start fresh (or cancel?!).
“The Couple Next Door” premieres Friday, January 17 on Starz. The psychological drama explores “the claustrophobia of suburbia and the fallout of chasing your deepest desires.”
“Country Christmas,” hosted by Amy Grant and Trisha Yearwood, airs Tuesday, December 3 at 8p on ABC. The fifteenth annual special was filmed in Nashville.
Docuseries “Ace of Base: All That She Wants” premieres Thursday, December 5 as a binge on Viaplay. The eight-parter marks this year’s 30th anniversary of the debut album of Swedish pop band Ace of Base. Um, I don’t know what Viaplay is, but if you do can you tell me? I need to watch this ACE A P.
The series finals of CBS daytimer “The Talk” airs live on Friday, December 20. Over the show's 15-season run, “The Talk” will have aired 2,993 episodes. Don’t think I’ve watched one of these 2,993 shows in entirety.
“Superman: The Christopher Reeve Story” debuts Saturday, December 7 at 8p on HBO. The film, which chronicles the actor’s life before and after the near-fatal accident that left him paralyzed, had its world premiere at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival.
“Henry Danger the Movie” debuts Friday, January 17 at 7p on Nickelodeon. Based on the live-action series, the film stars original series cast members Ella Anderson, Michael D. Cohen, and Frankie Grande, as well as new cast member Glee Dango.
Hit film “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,” released in theaters in September, premieres on HBO on Saturday, December 7 at 6:10p, the day after it drops on Max. The Warner Bros. Pictures film has grossed $451 million worldwide. Thank goodness they only say his name twice.
Richard Gadd (“Baby Reindeer”) and Jamie Bell (“All of Us Strangers”) will star in HBO and BBC drama “Half Man” (previously titled “Lions”). The series follows estranged brothers through their tumultuous relationship. Production is set to start in Scotland in 2025.
Fox Entertainment and Hulu have extended their partnership in a deal that runs through 2029. “The Simpsons,” “The Masked Singer” and more will continue to be available to stream on Hulu the day after their linear telecast, and Fox and Hulu will continue to share joint branding across all Fox owned and external consumer points of contact.
Netflix has been hit with a lawsuit over the streaming glitches that occurred during the fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul. The streamer “delivered the first punch of the night, to its customers, with unrelenting ‘buffering’ and blocked coverage,” alleges a class action complaint filed on Monday. Netflix has reported there were 65 million live concurrent streams and 108 million total live viewers tuning in for the fight around the world.
“Your Friends & Neighbors”, starring “Mad Men” alum Jon Hamm, who also serves as executive producer, has been renewed by Apple TV+ for a second season. Season 1 of the series, from creator Jonathan Tropper, will premiere globally on April 11 with two episodes. Other members of the cast include Amanda Peet, Olivia Munn, Hoon Lee and Lena Hall.
Chuck Scarborough, the legendary NBC 4 New York broadcast journalist, will relinquish his anchor chair on Thursday, December 12 after a record-setting 50 years on the air. Scarborough began his run with WNBC on March 25, 1974 and holds the distinction of being New York City DMA’s longest-serving local television news anchor.
Connie Britton will serve as host and executive producer of “The Motherhood,” a new unscripted series for Hallmark+ set to premiere in 2025. Britton, a single mother, developed the idea for the six-episode series, which takes a single mom who is juggling the demands of work, parenting and self-care, and connects her with three expert coaches who help to refresh her wardrobe and living space, and implement effective parenting strategies.
Jason Kelce, a contributor to ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown, will join the ranks of after-hours hosts with a limited-run series for ESPN, “They Call It Late Night With Jason Kelce.” The new show will air on five consecutive Friday nights beginning on January 3, the last week of regular season NFL games, into the playoffs. The former Super Bowl champ will host the show from Philadelphia, where he played football for the Eagles for 13 seasons, in front of a live crowd. The first four episodes are set to air during the 1am timeslot on Fridays, while the final episode will be released at 1:30am on February 1.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, Z!
