Today we’re getting into performance marketing, earned media, and the crossroads on which they both sit: affiliate marketing and public relations. I’ll be defining each of the terms and giving examples. The hope is that I’m painting a clear picture in a world of blurred lines and that you’ll be able to speak in an educated fashion as a publicist, brand marketer, account manager, or [insert super important role title here.]
Not only is this topic essential to publicists and affiliate marketers, but of course, to the brand owners and internal marketing departments alike. I’m really interested in having a banter about this, so please make all the comments. Would love to hear what you think!
