PitcheZ
Turned in a few storieZ last week — many, many thanks for your amazing pitches! I’ve got a few other assignments started but still need more pitches to fill up my round-ups. Take a look at my titles below and send me your best!
CafeMom:
Keep your feet looking and feeling healthy this summer with these TK products
Mom.com:
STILL NEED A LOT: Online workouts to stream *today*. Must be on Skimlinks.
STILL NEED A LOT: Best Outdoor Sprinklers for Kids (think the Friends couch one that's trending, larger-than-life rainbows/unicorns, and all those fun awesome products).
Little Things:
STILL NEED A LOT: Easy ways to have photo decor all up in your house
STILL NEED A LOT: Best Kitschy Welcome Mats
Please pitch zlatapitches@gmail.com with the appropriate subject line. If you’re pitching more than one, please create a separate email for each. Reminder that ALL PRODUCTS MUST BE ON SKIMLINKS OR AVAILABLE ON A MAJOR RETAILER. If you have questions about this, ask away! I cannot tell you how many people have pitched me OTHERWISE and it ruins our relationships. Please don’t do this!
NewZ
Looks like vaccines aren’t the only thing Mayim Bialik is skipping. The Jeopardy host will be bowing out of her last scheduled week of hosting duties in support of WGA strikers.
Netflix is moving its Upfront event for advertisers and investors from an in-person meeting to a virtual one after WGA said it would picket this week’s planned events. It’s giving CEO Zoom town hall with “pre-submitted” questions.
The Summer Olympic Games are back! It’s been 4 years since the last Summer Games, which means we suddenly care about diving and horses again. Paris (the city, not the socialite sadly) hosts this year’s Games, which will broadcast live on NBC, and Peacock will stream every sport and event. Opening ceremonies start July 26, 2023.
Elon Musk has announced that NBCUniversal’s former chair of global advertising and partnerships Linda Yaccarino will succeed Musk as Twitter CEO. Despite coming from the media world Musk vocally despises, the hot garbage that is Twitter needs a fast infusion of advertiser dollars.
ShowZ
Gordon Ramsay’s new show Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars premieres on FOX May 24. Contestants include founders of Happy Grub, the first squeezable pancake mix on the market, VeganAF, an L.A.-based vegan food truck operation, Bandida, a woman-owned horchata cold brew, and more.
Netflix has renewed Outlast for a second season. The Alaskan survival series is the first unscripted series from Jason Bateman’s Aggregate Films.
RHONY Reunion: Ultimate Girls Trip. New York Housewives Kelly Killoren Bensimon, Luann de Lesseps, Dorinda Medley, Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer and Kristen Taekman reunite in St. Barth’s to the house on Saline Beach featured in RHONY Season 5.
Let’s not forget (how could we EVER) The Real Housewives of New York City season 14 premieres on Bravo Sunday, July 16 at 9p.
Whatdya say we keep these good vibes goin? The Randall Scandal: Love, Loathing, and Vanderpump starts streaming Monday, May 22 on Hulu. The documentary from ABC News Studios investigates workplace race discrimination and abuse against Hollywood producer Randall Emmett.
ABZs Later This Week: Affiliate Task List
One thing I preach in my consulting sessions is that the real work in affiliate begins after I help you get set up and show you the ropes. Don’t get me wrong: Setup is CRUCIAL. Make or break. The crux of your success. You get the idea. But, after you’ve set up your affiliate account, either for your brand or your client’s, now you’ve got a program to run, a brand to protect, and money to make. And you need a plan. So let’s make one!
Join me here later this week to get a copy of my Ultimate Affiliate Management Task List, a comprehensive checklist with daily, weekly, monthly and other miscellaneous tasks that will keep your affiliate program operating at its best — all in 1 convenient list. Whether you’re delegating or running ish yourself, the list can unlock some efficiency in your workflow.
Heads up — This issue will be for paid subscribers only. If you’ve been on the fence about picking up a subscription, this is the PERFECT ONE to tip you over! You’ll get all the juicy takeaways and an excellent practical checklist, plus you’ll unlock all the archives.
That’s all I’ve got for today! I’ll be back later this week with ABZs. Between now and then, enjoy your week! And don’t forget to pitch me!
