ShowZ 

• HGTV’s Ugliest House in America: Summer Road Trip debuts Monday, August 7 at 8p. Parks and Recreation fans will remember Retta, the comedian host of the show. In its last run, the series pulled nearly 11 million viewers.

• Law&Crime, an unreasonably popular true crime YouTube channel, recently hit 5 million subscribers. We are all demented. 

• Hulu has launched Hulu Animayhem, a new brand focused on adult animation and anime content. Okay, cool. But, have we listened to ourselves lately? The silliness of brand names is getting out of control. 

• Netflix has canceled Snowflake Mountain, a reality show that pits spoiled young adults against the wilderness. Guess we all like our rich spoiled bitches where they belong: On Bravo. 

• Case in Glorious Point: Luann & Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake debuted this week. The Housewives duo head to rejuvenate the town with the town council. A plot Leslie Knope herself couldn’t write better. 

• Survivalists do their best on a secluded island in the Pacific, thousands of miles from civilization on Discovery Channel’s new series Naked and Afraid Castaways, debuting Sunday, July 30 at 8p.

• Do you smell that? It’s a … Musk of bad business decisions and confusing legal actions. Elon Musk is suing his lawyers. He filed a lawsuit with one set of attorneys alleging another the law firm racked up $90 million in “last minute” legal fees when he tried to buy Twitter, but changed his mind, but then still had to buy it anyway. 

• Threads saw over 30 million signups in its first 24 hours and 90 million its first 4 days. Zuckerburg said the response was “way beyond our expectations.” Elon Musk said “Copycat.” To which Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri said No, boo. It’ll just “be a less angry place for conversations.” Go off, king. Have you tried it? ThoughtZ?? Follow me because DUHHHHH, I’m on there!

• WTF is Threads anyway? So glad you asked. “The vision for Threads is to create an option and friendly public space for conversation,” said Mark Zuckerberg in a Threads post. Not sure if “friendly” quite captures what the public is known for, but okay. 

• OK that’s more than enough about those guys. Moving on. Kim Kardashian and Tom Brady are rumored to be dating. An inevitable event in this timeline. Like it’s definitely on a Bingo card.
