Friday Fun: New ToolZ, NewZ and FunnieZ
It’s FRIDAY, and I hope it’s happy wherever you are! I decided to put together another short roundup heading into the weekend because why not! We are topping off the week with a new reco, newZ and funnieZ because I love you. As James Corden said, sorry not sorry.
Just a reminder, I got a slew of new assignments (see them here!), and I’m taking pitches as we speak.
New ToolZ: Press Hook
Have you heard of Press Hook yet? If not, allow me to make an introduction! It’s a new platform for to help with PR (a supplement to publicists or for a brand with no PR representation) where journalists can find sources for their stories and brands can showcase products, experts and news. Press Hook also features workflow tools and profile management, plus tools for creating digital media kits.
I’ve used it myself from the journalist side and from the PR side since I do have a client on there. As a journalist, I’m able to learn more about brands and see their products in a very organized and clean way. As a publicist, I’m able to coordinate product sample requests and work directly with journalists who are interested in my client. It is similar to HARO, but with an emphasis on connecting brands and journalists. For journalists, the search function is great. You can easily source relevant products and experts with a quick category search. And for brands and agents, it’s another opportunity for exposure and affiliate revenue. Let me know if you give it a try!
Give it a go! Please let me know if you sign up. I’m really eager to hear your feedback!
Lunch & LearnZ
Did you know I offer Lunch & Learn sessionZ? It’s true! It’s actually one of my favorite offerings because I get to interact with the people out here living the dream. It’s one thing to preach about affiliate marketing academically, but it’s a whole different ball of wax when I’m able to see real people doing the damn thing!
Who it’s for: PR professionals, agents, agencies, brands — anyone who wants to learn!
What it is: Consulting Lunch and Learn session with me, featuring a 101 on affiliate marketing with a comprehensive Q&A
How to book: Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
I just wrapped two this week and received this angelic feedback from one of the organizers.
Thank you SO much for that great session yesterday – everyone commented on how much they learned and how great you were at explaining things in a way we can understand. One comment was “where has she been all our lives?!”
I mean. So, if you and/or your team could use a little clarity, let’s do lunch babe! (It doesn’t have to be during lunch hours. I know that’s a “duh” but just in case.)
Google is rolling out a new feature that allows users to control the kinds of ads they see. The internet giant announced the move in a blog post titled “Your ads, your choice,” which… I just. Never mind.
Kim Kardashian turns 42 today. Well some of her does, anyway.
Julia Fox claims her Birkin was attacked by a machete. Honestly, I feel like that’s not even the weirdest thing she’s said.
Where we’re going, we don’t need roads. But we do need stage curtains. Back to the Future is coming to Broadway!
Fridays deserve laughter.
That’s all I have for today. As always, thank you (SOOOO MUCH) for reading! If you’re enjoying it, please please consider sharing it. As a reminder, I’m giving every 7th new signup a FREE subscription you can both share as a group. I’ve already got 3 this week … Who’s it gonna be?!
