HelloZ
Happy Tuesday, friendZ! Today we’re talking Met Gala, newZ, and we’ve got some new pitcheZ for the month of May. Yeah. MAY! Rihanna did Valentino justice. Aubrey Plaza and Chloe Fineman made us feel weird. Jared Leto turned heads and took one off. It’s all here, right now! And lest we forget, comedic relief, of course, is provided for your viewing pleasure in the form of your favorite FunnieZ. As Rihanna’s driver said: Take your time. I’m ready when you are.
Affiliate ABZs
Gimme some topics! I’m head-down in my Affiliate Marketing course and have a lot of ideas churning that I’ll be covering here in the coming weeks — for example, I have a task management chart coming that I think a lot of you will find super useful. But back to my point: Send me your topic requests! Leave me a comment with some affiliate topics you’d like to see covered and you just might see yours in the next issue!
Met Gala Recap
Well spank my butt and call me an E! correspondent. Last night’s Met Gala made headlines (per uzh) and I’m here to summarize them for you. The invite-only annual fundraising gala is held for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in New York City and brings the most ‘elite’ celebrities into town.
Audrey Slutburn aka Aubrey Plaza stunned in a ‘Sustainable’ Stella McCartney ensemble, while Stella McCartney scolded Chloe Fineman for not being serious. This seemed to be a bit of their own making. It was still awkward AF tho. Which, to be fair, is very on brand for Plaza.
Like the sophisticated weirdo he insists on being, Jared Leto came as Karl Lagerfeld’s cat.
Not to be outdone, DojaCat also came as an actual feline. Stay in character, slay in character sis.
Lil Nas X came as a diamond encrusted tin-man.
Fashionably late and worth the wait. Despite a delayed entrance, Ri Ri — who, btw was given a pass on punctuality by Anna Wintour herself — covered herself head-to-toe in giant white sculptural flowers designed by Valentino, each of which she reported took some 30 hours to make. I wonder what that time sheet looked like.
Kim K and Pete D reunited briefly, throwing it back to where they first met 2 years ago and attended together in 2022.
Other NewZ
Prince William will speak in the ceremony at his father’s coronation, but it seems Harry will not. Meanwhile, Meghan Markle hangs back in the States, not at all because of Royal Drama, but rather, because it happens to be her son’s birthday on the same day. Scheduling conflicts, and whatnot. Don’t worry Meg,
will be there covering for you. ;)Apple TV+ handed an early season four renewal to The Morning Show. Season three of the drama starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon launches this fall and I’m issuing an early thank you in advance for the upcoming marathon sesh.
Get the Lexapro, we’re binging more murder. Monster returns to Netflix for Season 2, this time focusing on Lyle and Erik Melendez who were convicted of killing their parents in 1996.
The Real Housewives of New York returns for season 14 on Sunday, July 16 at 9p. I know that’s more than 10 weeks away, but we need to prepare.
Jimmy Kimmel beamed a hologram of Chris Pratt into Disneyland on Friday, marking the first time a self-contained hologram device has made it onto late night television. I’d prefer these tech-giants work on how to get such a hologram of Channing Tatum to beam straight into my bedroom. (Sorry, hubbZ.)
In this week’s episode of the Twitter Shit Show (AND I’M NOT MAKING THIS UP), an anonymous account titled Vids That Go Hard illegally posted the Super Mario Bros. Movie in two parts on the platform, earning as many as 9 million views before it was taken down a few hours later. It seems the sternly worded anti-piracy pre-movie literature isn’t working anymore.
Walmart+ is now offering subscribers a free Pluto account. Which sounds cool right? WRONG. When you read the details you realize the account is for specific content. Members can watch up to 1 season. Of 6 select shows. And the selection of shows will rotate at the start of each month. So, hope you don’t like any of them!

Hi Zlata! I have a client that just signed on with Refersion. I guess he's a part of their pilot Amazon program where the media gets their Amazon comish, AND 10% from the client on top of that. I keep asking around but no one has heard of it. Any insight?
