Pitch me, baby
Fun fact: While the great Dana Baarsden was on maternity leave, I filled in for her as Top Affiliate Editor at TinyBeans and I absolutely loved it! I spent zillions of hours editing existing and newly-published stories to make them more affiliate-friendly. Learning more about that side had me appreciating our PR + affiliate jobs so much more.
Speaking of, I’ve been so gung-ho in with that and the PR+affiliate work I’ve been doing, that I haven’t had much time to pitch my editors for new stories. I’m committing to do that more often now because I love writing!
Here we go:
For Clean Plates:
Best Foods For Hair, Skin, and Nails
Lots of beauty products and supplements are touted for being the holy grail products for better hair and skin, but what types of foods (and why/how!) can you be eating to help from within? Tell me all about it! Also looking for derms (MD) to provide specific expert opinion here.
The newest Low FODMAP foods to hit the shelves
Have IBS? It’s trending topic now: Hot Girl IBS. Let’s talk about it. Fun fact: I was the first-ever lifestyle writer in the United States to talk about the low FODMAP diet (SheKnows and Huffington Post) after doing a TON of research on how to help myself. This was in 2014. Needless to say, so much has changed in terms of the evolution of Low FODMAP. Most importantly, brands have evolved to offer quick and easy, ready-to-eat foods, snacks, spices, etc. What are some new brands? Products?
Not sure if your client’s brand is low FODMAP? I can help you figure that out. Once time I had a publicist pitch me for a gluten free roundup I was working on and I told her she should also be pitching Low FODMAP angles. A few months later she came back and thanked me a million times over because it became a niche for the product! Love that!
Please email zlatapitches@gmail.com with subject lines “Best Foods” or “Low FODMAP” depending on what you’re pitching. Pitching both? Please send me two emails.
Have a really great Memorial Day Weekend! Oh, and let’s get on that gun reform bandwagon, k?
