Guys: Who watches Love is Blind?
I have to say, I’m very impressed with the cadence by which Netflix is releasing new seasons. Substack Reader Rachael commented on yesterday’s newsletter and reminded me a new season is out. So there I went last night, into the binge whole that is this show. It’s really such a gem! Made it a few episodes in and stopped right after all engagements and before they head to Mexico. I’m trying really hard to stay away from any spoilers online.
Quick synopsis of my thoughts on the couples thus far: MAJ YES to Brett and Tiffany, YES to Kwame and Chelsea, NO to Paul and Micah (he made the wrong choice), HARD FKN NO to Zach and Irina (she’s the FKN worst ever!!!!), and MEH to Marshall and Jackie.
There’s been a bit of a pattern with this show and how every other season seems real. Meaning, last year, it felt more like the people in the pods were serious about growing their connection. As viewers, we could really see and feel some of these connections happening. Seemed more genuine. Whether the editing sucked or what - I don’t know - but this time around it was very lackluster and seemed like these women wanted to ‘win’ against another woman. Not feeling a lot of genuine connection outside of Brett and Tiffany and even then - wasn’t really getting too much in the pods. We’ll see what Mexico brings!
Do you watch? What are your thoughts?
